The Dow Surgery Fund Raising Heros

The Dow Surgery is proud to announce the achievements of two members of staff over the weekend.

Our first Fundraising Hero is one of our Practice Nurses, Amy, who completed the London Marathon!

Despite a foot injury, Amy put a tremendous amount of preparation and hard work into running the 26.2 miles to complete this year’s London Marathon and has raised over £1000 for Primrose Hospice, so far.

Primrose Hospice offers support to patients and their families when they need it most.

Well Done Amy!

Our second Fundraising Hero is one of our new Salaried GPs – Dr Matt Wix.

He also completed a marathon this weekend for charity.

On 2nd October, Matt and two friends completed a ski, row and assault bike marathon to help fund defibrillators for the community, raising money towards funding installation and availability of these life saving machines.

Matt completed the Ski component, 26.2miles in 3hrs 7mins

So far Matt has raised over £700 to help fund these lifesaving defibrillators for the community.

Well Done Matt!
